Welcome to the very 1st WILM Mothers group for crew and artists.
|
First of all, we would like to inform you that we have chosen to call it CREW MOMS,
because WILM’s target group are the people working behind the scenes.
However, we are also all about inclusion. Therefore we would like to include the
moms and expecting moms on stage as well, as we are kind of in the same boat here
whether onstage or backstage!

So a warm welcome to everyone with a career in the live music industry!

It has been a while since we launched the group. However, we are excused: Anna
Gideonsson, Live sound engineer, WILM’s graphic designer and promoter of this
group gave birth to her son a month too early. But everyone is now sound and doing
better.

We would like to invite you to our Facebook group, where you have the possibility to
introduce yourself, connect with other members and discuss topics that relate to
motherhood and a career in live music.

But! We will also be hosting a monthly meet up online, where it will be possible to
discuss different topics, as well as connect with each other across borders.

The first online meetup on Zoom is scheduled for WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER
15TH at 10AM CET

There will be no set topic for this 1st meetup, as we thought we should touch base
with you guys first, and hear what kind of direction you would like to see the group
head off to? We would also like to have a chat about which topics could be great to
bring up!
We think as well that it could be ideal to have a monthly guest to kick off the
meetings? However, it’s all up in the air for now, so let’s see what ideas we can come
up with on Sep.15th.

This day will also be a chance to introduce ourselves and connect!
The host for the day will be Mette Helms, Sound engineer and based in
Copenhagen, Denmark. Mette is already the mom of Lucas, almost two, and is due
with a little brother in November.

Please note! In the Facebook group, we will have a thread for topic suggestions
for our online meetups as well as a thread for finding the best times to host the meet
ups in the future so as many members as possible can participate.
