After taking a BTEC level 2 in music instead of a GCSE, I realized that I had a much bigger passion for behind-the-scenes music rather than performing & composing so I’ve decided to pursue this in the wide range of possible careers the music industry has to offer. I then ended up studying a BTEC Foundation Diploma in Music Production alongside two A Levles at college/sixth form. The live music module stood out to me most – I was part of an events crew that took part in several college events throughout the year and it means that I am qualified and knowledgeable on live sound setup.

I love going to concerts even more now because it truly is interesting to see how different productions work from my perspective as opposed to the average concert-goer. As of right now, I am a first-year student studying a BA in Event Management at Manchester Metropolitan University.
