Jenny (Jennifer) Soep

Scotland/Sweden

Lighting Designer Merchandise Photographer (Tour/Concert) Video Department

Scottish artist Jenny Soep is Drawing the Experience, connecting art & music via live-drawing.

Drawing the likes of Björk, Patti Smith, boygenius, Fred again, Young Fathers, Olivia Dean, Dame Evelyn Glennie, Simple Minds, Mogwai, Mariam & Amadou, Yo-Yo Ma and The Proclaimers, Jenny has been crossing genres, artforms and borders, as an audience member and on-stage-artist, via iPad or the brush of watercolour.

A combination of drawing and live-performance, Jenny lets sound be her guide; music, rhythms, words, thoughts and emotions influence herself and the artwork live in-situ, creating souvenirs that give life to an experience long after the music has stopped.

Creating unique content, Jenny Soep can share her drawings and documentation live during festivals, on social media, to be made into album covers, t-shirts or as ‘fine-art merchandise’ for those fans that want something completely unique.

Now based in Sweden, Jenny is drawing, exhibiting and performing between there and home – most recently providing drawings for Svensk Musikvår (Sweden), Connect Music Festival, Edinburgh’s Castle of Light as well as the 250th year celebrations for Sir Walter Scott.
