“Now, where are the women backstage?” This is something we from WILM have been asking for a long time as we see a stagnation in the amount of female crew backstage despite of a lot of great initiatives all around.
Last year we launched a survey to figure out if the well-being of the women backstage had any influence on the absence of more female crew. Since then we have collected data from 600+ female crew members which have been turned into a report that we have released last month.
