Description

2022 was sort of a catastrophe for those working backstage at concerts, festivals etc. due to the huge lack of both qualified crew, and gear.
It was partly due to lack of communication across the different stakeholders offstage, as well as too many productions happening simultaneously.
2023 does so far not look any better. But are artists and their management aware of the situation?
In general there seems to be a missing understanding and acknowledgement of the work going on backstage in production, logistics and technique. Wouldn’t the entire live music sector be stronger if everyone on- offstage were on the same page?
Location: Radisson Blu – Room 4
