WILM invites you to join us for an exclusive ‘behind the scenes’ tour and discussion about a large touring production at the iconic Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith on Thursday 17th October.

Monitor engineer (and WILMAward Winner ’22!) Beth O’Leary, will lead the event, giving attendees a comprehensive overview of the production which includes visiting different departments to learn about how they work.

The production has an amazing team who will be available to answer all your questions.

  • James Kazeze – Production Manager and Front of House Engineer – will explain organising a tour, the staging, set build and mixing audio for the audience.
  • Nick Jenkin – Tour Manager – will explain organising a tour and the logistics of making sure everyone is in the right place at the right time!
  • Toby O’Pray – Stage Manager and Backline Tech – will explain how he organises the crew and bands on stage, and looks after guitars and keyboards.
  • Franki McDade– Lighting Director – will talk about lighting planning and the creative process.
  • Beth O’Leary– Monitor Engineer – will talk through the audio set up along with James, and mixing audio for the band.
  • Georgia Challinor– Playback and Backline Technician – will guide us through the playback and drums set up.
  • Max Lilley– Backline Technician – will guide us through the bass and guitar set up.
  • Nora Nishevci– Photographer and Social Media Manager – will discuss gig photography and managing the band’s social media channels.
  • Conor Amsden – Merch Manager – will discuss how merchandise is managed and sold.
  • Eddie McQueen – Caterer – will talk through all that’s involved with touring catering.

Whether you are a newcomer or more experienced you are very welcome to join us and learn all about what goes into making a big show happen!

This event is for people interested in live concert production – technical and logistics . We would therefore like to know a bit about your previous experience and interest in live events and expect you to answer a couple of questions with your registration. This info will be passed to the production to make sure that those attending get the best experience.

The Walk & Talk will take about 2 hours during the afternoon and does not give admission to the show in the evening.
Please arrive 15min before the walkthrough starts to allow enough time to get into the venue. We ask that you kindly do not take any photos or videos at this event.

We will provide attendees with additional information in an email 2 days before the event (meeting location and contact details).
